Written by: admin - 3rd January 2009

The Club is an independent non-profit organisation with its objectives set out in its constitution – these are:

Founded in 1983, BMW Motorcycle Club Central was formally known as BMW Motorcycle Club of South Africa.

It was the first BMW motorcycle club in South Africa. The Clubs is also a founding member of BMW Clubs Africa and through them a member of the International Council of BMW Clubs.

The Club’s main membership body is located in Gauteng, but draws members from all corners of South Africa and neighbouring countries.

The Club is actively supported by the BMW dealers in the area, and assisted by them in the form of backup vehicles, donation of gifts, providing refreshments for rides, demonstration of clothing and motorcycles at events, etc.

The Annual Gathering for BMW Bikers has for many years been a proud institution that the Club organised until 2003, where after it was agreed that BMW South Africa will take over the running of the event. Now known as the BBG – BMW Bikers Gathering – the Club still actively supports BMW in their endeavour where required.
