Come and Join us for Some Twisties in the Mountains in August

Magoebaskloof Run – 7th and 8th August 2010

…as well as log fires, a cosy pub and all-bike talk!

For the swingers among you, you might enjoy the Canopy Tour through the treetops instead of the Sunday ride? Go to http://www.magoebaskloofcanopytour.co.za/ to book.

For the rest, join us on a breathtakingly beautiful ride around the Magoebaskloof pass (both sides about 100km) going high into the Lobedu mountains in the land of the Modjadji - the legendary Rain Queen and the Modjadji Cycad Reserve with specimens up 1,013 metres high, and bearing cones that may weigh up to 34 kg. We’ll also pass the famous Baobab tree, estimated to be 3000 years old on our travels, before winding our way back down to Magoebaskloof for dinner.

The route to Magoebaskloof is nothing short of magnificent either – a long ride, leaving at 9 0’clock sharp from the Total Garage on the Witbank highway – then off to Dullstroom – Lydenburg – Sabie – Graskop for lunch – God’s Window – Falls – Bourke’s Luck Potholes – Tzaneen – Magoebaskloof Ruskamp Hotel, for a total trip of just less than 640km.

Rates for the Magoesbaskloof Ruskamp are available - will be send to you on query – please make your bookings directly with the hotel and don’t forget to mention that you are with BMW Club Central, as they are giving us their out-of-season rates even though it is a long weekend!
